How Cert Happens handles quiz sessions, correction reports, analytics, and service-provider data.

Overview
Cert Happens does not require an account to use its practice tests. We aim to collect only the information needed to operate the site, protect it from abuse, understand general site performance, and improve question quality.
Practice-test sessions
Your active test, question order, displayed answer order, selections, flags, and completion state are stored in your browser's session storage. This information remains in the current browser tab so that moving between questions or refreshing the page does not erase the test.
Session data is not automatically sent to Cert Happens merely because you take or complete a test.
Question reports
When you submit a question report, the site stores information needed to review the issue. This can include the question ID, exam and test identifiers, report category, optional note, displayed answer order, selected answer identifiers, source page, data version, and submission date.
Reports do not require your name or email address. Cert Happens does not store your IP address in the question-report database, although infrastructure providers may process network information temporarily to provide security and deliver the service.
Cloudflare services
The site uses Cloudflare for hosting, content delivery, security, Turnstile verification, and database services. Cloudflare may process technical request information as part of providing those services.
Analytics
Cert Happens may use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate page traffic and performance. The purpose is to learn which pages are useful and whether the site performs well, not to build individual visitor profiles.
Advertising and third-party services
The site may add advertising or other third-party services in the future. If those services change the information collected or how it is used, this policy will be updated.
Data retention
Question reports may be retained while they are reviewed and afterward as part of the quality-control history. Operational logs and analytics are retained according to the settings and limits of the service providers used by the site.
Your choices
You can close the browser tab to end the current session-storage workflow. You can also choose not to submit an optional question report. Browser and privacy controls may provide additional ways to limit local storage or analytics.
Children's privacy
Cert Happens is a general educational resource and is not designed to collect personal information from children. The site does not knowingly request names, account details, or contact information from children.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as the site adds features, advertising, or service providers. The date at the top of the page will show the latest revision.
